Terms of Service

RatedUnited ("we," "us," "our," or "the Service") is an independent, fan-run platform providing statistics, AI-assisted player ratings, commentary, news, and community features related to Manchester United Football Club. By accessing or using RatedUnited, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

RatedUnited is an independent project created by fans, for fans. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Manchester United Football Club, the Premier League, or any official Manchester United entity in any way. Match data, statistics, and news headlines are sourced from third-party providers and are used for informational and commentary purposes.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on RatedUnited. If you are under 16, please do not create an account or submit personal information to us. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• One account per person — please don't create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions (such as posting comment limits) or manipulate features like RU Pulse or Predictions.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

RatedUnited's player ratings and match commentary are generated using a combination of statistical analysis and AI-assisted writing, based on match data from third-party providers. These ratings and blurbs:

• Are intended for entertainment and informational purposes.
• Reflect our own independent methodology and opinions, not those of Manchester United FC or any official body.
• May occasionally contain inaccuracies due to data limitations, calculation errors, or AI-generation imperfections. We work to correct errors when identified but do not guarantee complete accuracy.

When you post a comment, submit a score prediction, or respond to an RU Pulse survey, you agree that:

• You retain ownership of your content, but you grant RatedUnited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content on the platform (including aggregated/anonymized use, such as in trend graphs or leaderboards).
• You will not post content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, spam, or that impersonates another person or entity.
• We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards, at our discretion.
• Comments are attributed to your chosen username, which is separate from your real name or email address.

RatedUnited sources match statistics, fixtures, and news headlines from third-party providers (including but not limited to sports data APIs and licensed news RSS feeds). We do not control the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this third-party data and are not liable for errors originating from these sources. News headlines link back to the original publisher — we do not reproduce full articles.

RatedUnited is currently provided free of charge to all users. We may introduce optional paid subscription tiers in the future offering additional features; if we do, we will provide clear notice, and core features available for free today will not be retroactively locked behind a paywall without prior notice.

The RatedUnited name, logo, branding, design, and underlying software are the property of RatedUnited and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission. Manchester United's name, crest, and other trademarks are the property of Manchester United Football Club and are referenced here descriptively only, under fair use principles, not as an implication of affiliation.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data, rating, or prediction will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RatedUnited and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify users (such as a site banner).

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Victoria division of the Federal Court of Australia. You may not object to the jurisdiction of any of those courts on the grounds that it is an inconvenient forum or that it does not have jurisdiction.
