No. RatedUnited is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Manchester United Football Club in any way. Match data is sourced from third-party providers.

Each player's rating is calculated using our own formula, based on real match statistics (passes, tackles, duels, shots, saves, and more depending on position) sourced from a sports data provider. Ratings also account for match context, such as the final score and clean sheets, alongside individual performance. This is our own methodology — not simply a number copied from another site.

Yes. Each player's written commentary is generated using AI, based on their real stats and the match's actual result. We've put safeguards in place to keep these accurate and consistent with the numeric rating and the real outcome of the match. If you ever spot something that looks inaccurate, please let us know — see "How do I report an issue" below.

Match fixtures, results, and player statistics come from a licensed sports data provider (API-Football). We don't independently verify every data point, so on rare occasions data may be delayed or contain provider-side errors.

Ratings are typically generated within a few hours of a match finishing, once final statistics are available from our data provider.

News headlines are sourced from Manchester Evening News. We display the headline, a short snippet, and a link to the original article — we don't reproduce full articles, both out of respect for the original publisher and because we'd always rather send you to the source for the full story.

Yes — once you're signed in, you can comment on any player's rating for a given match. Please keep comments respectful; abusive, hateful, or spam content will be removed and may result in account suspension.

Yes, you can edit or delete your own comments at any time from the comment itself.

RU Pulse is our fan sentiment feature — after each match, you can share how you felt about the team's performance, the manager's decisions, who you thought was Player of the Match, and your confidence heading into the next game. We track this over time to show fan sentiment trends across the season.

Yes, RatedUnited is currently completely free to use. All features — full squad ratings, stats, trends, and more — are available to every user at no cost.

We may introduce an optional paid tier down the line as the platform grows, offering additional features on top of what's free. If we do, we'll make sure existing free features stay accessible and give clear notice before any changes.

You can sign up using your Google or Apple account. You'll be asked to choose a username, which is what other users will see on your comments and predictions — your email address is never shown publicly.

Yes, you can update it from your Profile settings, though there's a cooldown period between changes to keep things fair and prevent misuse.
