This Privacy Policy explains what information RatedUnited ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using RatedUnited, you agree to the practices described here.

Account information: When you sign up (via Google sign-in or another supported method), we receive basic account details such as your email address, and you'll choose a public username that's separate from your real name.

Content you provide: Comments you post, predictions you submit, and responses you give to RU Pulse surveys.

Usage data: Basic information about how you use the site (pages visited, features used) to help us understand what's working and fix problems.

Cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences (such as your local timezone for displaying kickoff times).

We do not collect payment information at this time, as RatedUnited does not currently charge for access.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service (e.g. displaying your comments, storing your predictions, showing personalized features like favourite players).
• Maintain the security and integrity of the platform (e.g. preventing spam or abuse).
• Understand usage patterns to improve the Service.
• Communicate with you about your account or significant changes to the Service, if necessary.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.

RatedUnited relies on third-party services to operate:

• Authentication providers (e.g. Google) for account sign-in — we receive basic profile information (such as your email) but do not control how these providers handle your data separately from your use of RatedUnited.
• Sports data providers (e.g. API-Football) for match statistics and fixtures — this is one-way data we pull in; we do not share your personal information with these providers.
• News sources (via licensed RSS feeds) for headlines — we display headlines and link to original articles; we do not share your personal information with these sources.
• Hosting/infrastructure providers (base44 and associated cloud services) to run the platform and store data securely.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of RatedUnited or our users, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we'd notify users of any material change in how data is handled.

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable period, though some content (such as anonymized aggregate data used in trend statistics) may be retained in a form that no longer identifies you.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, contact us at hello@ratedunited.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

RatedUnited is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

RatedUnited may be accessed from various countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in a location different from where you live, subject to the protections described in this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify users (such as a site banner).
